INSTRUCTIONS

Task 3A: Type Design and Communication

In this exercise, our task is to sketch various font designs using three different markers with a size of 3.0mm each. Utilizing these three markers, we are to explore three distinct designs for each marker, resulting in a total of nine sketches. After completing the sketching phase, we will digitize them using Adobe Illustrator and import them into Font Lab.

2.Dissection

I initially hand-drew each letter (O, L, E, D, S, N, C, H, T, I, G, , . ! #) to be digitized.

Following the sketches, I commenced the digitization process using Adobe Illustrator.
I employed the Bodoni MT font as a reference for my digitization.





3.fontLab

Import the text created in Illustrator into FontLab.




I directly copied and pasted the files from AI into the FontLab software, and then I exported it directly because I didn't know how to operate it.
