INTRODUCTION

Week1: Exercise 1

Initially, as an introduction to Adobe Premiere Pro, we were tasked with merging clips of an advertisement to create a cohesive commercial.

The first segment involved assembling clips featuring mints, which were already arranged in sequence. Following the lecturer's guidance, I imported each clip from the designated folder into the timeline, ensuring the correct order, and subsequently exported it as an H264 file.

Week2: Framing and Storyboarding

Week2: Editing exercise | Lalin

We were instructed to edit the Lalin short film according to the storyboard available in the Google Drive file. Mr. Martin also shared a tutorial video on YouTube to guide us through the process. Our tasks involved integrating all video clips, segmenting and arranging them, incorporating elements like speech bubbles, applying cross-dissolve transitions, synchronizing sound effects with text, and finally exporting the video.

Week2: Editing exercise | Shooting Exercise

Framing Shooting Exercise Reminder:

Record in landscape mode with 5-second clips.
Use a wide-angle lens for wide shots.
Capture close-ups with a blurred background.
Ensure proper exposure, avoiding over or underexposure.
Shoot during daylight for natural lighting.
Include captions indicating shot sizes.
Export and submit the final video.

Class Materials Reflection:

In Week 2, we studied the three-act story structure: Setup, Confrontation, and Resolution. This framework helps in introducing characters, escalating tension through challenges, and concluding with a climax and resolution. Understanding this structure aids in crafting engaging and well-paced narratives.
